Nerdin Gardens: Playing Peek-a-Boo in the Strawberry Patch!

It's gardening season once again and as we prepare the soil for receiving seeds and plantings in Nerdin Gardens, the stawberry patch is producing beyond our ability to consume.

They sure know how to disguise themselves underneath their greenery until they turn a vibrant red, this is. Perfectly ripe for picking!

We enjoy the daily trips to play Peek-a-Boo with these delicious morsels, another delicious example of nature's gifts. Just like eating candy! Mmm-mmm!

Wanda, there is nothing nicer than fresh strawberries picked ripe off of the plant.  And they smell amazing, too!  I can almost smell these on my computer screen!

Pat, If my husband picks them, more make it indoors and when I pick them, they end up indamouth! For me, half the FUN is searching for them.

Wnada-Love your Nerdin gardens sign. I will be making a sign for my garden as well. Just haven't taken the time to do so. I picked my second batch of strawberries today and there was more than the 1st and that was only a few days ago. They are so sweet. I am so glad I planted them last yr. My bowl runneth over. Think I will be freezing them as well.

Nick, You are right about that! Those, cherry tomatoes and fresh asparagus are my all-time favorites! Not many make it inside.
