First and foremost, I want to wish a Happy Father’s Day to all the Fathers in the rain. I want to wish a special shout out to my wonderful father Adolph Cordova, my children’s father Pete Crew one of my very best friends in the entire world, and last but definitely not least my husband Bob Gilbert who is a wonderful father to his children and mine and is my soul mate.
On Father’s day one may ask; “Who is a father?” my definition of a father is not necessarily the biological father; but the dad who takes time out of a busy day to attend that special event in the child’s life, the one that comforts the child when they are feeling down or lost, the one who encourages the child to be the best they can be. A dad is the one that sacrifices for the child, who loves the child no matter what and who puts the child’s needs before their own, that is who a dad is.
