Columbus named in TOP TEN Affordable Cities

An article just out in FORTUNE magazine lists the top ten cities for affordable housing and Columbus, Ohio ranks number SIX.

Columbus TOP TEN affordable city for home ownership

One thing in the article that I do not agree with is that in the commentary it staes that the cities on the most affordable list are declining in population.  I cannot speak to all the cities mentioned but Columbus does not fit that assertion.  With the combination of Academic, manufacturing, technology, research and state government, Columbus is still a vibrant and as the article correctly states, an affordable place to live.

Now is a great time to buy.  There are NO DOWN PAYMENT programs in Columbus, Ohio also.

Contact me for more information on available properties.

You are lucky to live and work in an affordable area. Many Maryland retirees are moving to other states where home prices and real estate taxes are lower.

I always enjoy checking out these types of lists.  They wouldn't influence me as far as moving, but I love seeing where my area ranks.

Thanks for stopping by Roy Kelley , timely that your comment brings me back to this post as one of our former Mayor's just passed away who was responsible for attracting and building a foundation for many of the things our fine City has to offer.
