Gazania in our Kentlands home garden

This is one of the many gazanias in the planter at the front of our home in the Kentlands community in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Gazanias are small flowers that add a lot of summertime color and are great for photographs.

To obtain a background like this, simply hold a sheet of paper behind the flower. I use the free service of iPiccy.com for photo editing. Have some fun as you photograph your flowers.

So beautiful!  I miss these types of flowers as I don't typically see them in AZ.  Now in AL, MO & KS, that was another story!

Roy, thank you for answering my mental question, how did he get that type of background in his own garden? I will have to pop out and try this!

I really like the effect.

If you follow my suggestion to try the sheet of paper background trick with flower photography, try different colors of paper. Pictures like this would work well for your note cards.
