One of my business partners died Saturday. She and I had been police officers together, and I even encouraged her to get her real estate license. She was still a cop and was sending me all her leads, working on a referral basis. I was happy to do the work - I could see how she was growing and learning, and I knew that before long, she'd be going full time as an agent.
I still don't have the details on her death. I think she was in her thirties, way too young for a sudden death. She had been in a bad car crash a couple weeks ago, and spent a little while in the hospital, but had been getting around pretty well and seemed to have no major ill-effects.
I know this is a little rambling, but I am still stunned by it. Deaths of people close to you, whether family, friends, or co-workers, is difficult to process. I still want to pick up the phone and tell her how exciting it is that we're closing on our second co-list deal in two weeks.
In a year, we have lost two Keller Williams real estate agents in Greenville. This is way too much.
Thanks for lending me your ear (eye) for a moment.
