2014 Mountain Harvest Festival Paonia, CO Information
Delta County is proud of it's agricultural roots. These growing/agricultural traditions run deep, and the area is still doted with small family orchards, organic gardens and independent roadside fruit and veggie stands. Part of this tradition gets people together to celebrate the harvest.
For the 14th straight year, Paonia will host it's Mountain Harvest Festival. This is a great time for all ages to get together for great food, great music and a great time with friends and family.
This year's Mountain Harvest Festival is September 25th - 28th. It's always on the first full weekend in September. There are so many events...including a pub crawl, live music throughout all four days, art exhibits, poetry reading, vegan potluck, bike ride, winery tours and a grape stomp. That may sound like a lot to do, but there's even more. Check out the website for a full schedule of events.
The Mountain Harvest Festival is a celebration of all that is local to the area. Very little is brought in from out of town. There are numerous tours of local farms offered. The entertainment and food are local. The art is local. This draws people from all over the area and from outside of the area, too.
This is a family friendly event. Grab the kids and head on over to the 2014 Mountain Harvest Festival this weekend in Paonia.
