Ever Played The Game, Whisper Down The Line, Bucket Brigade Style?

Whisper in my ear, I will relay what I thought you said.

The next guy or gal does the same and by the end of the line, what do you have? When the last one in the game is asked to relay what they heard. Can be comical, way off base from the original. Total confusion, less than accurate can happen the further you get from the original news source.local fund raiser photo

Like the question needing an answer we get posed daily in the real estate circles we travel.

How is the local real estate market, not the one in the Northwest or Downeast or halfway around the World.

But live, local and close to home grown like the down to Earth people.

Getting the current real estate market update, weather, any local news does not happen from a big city or from the opposite coast. Remember how important the three "L"'s are in real estate? Same with the location the newsmakers generate it. Where, how, when they do their reporting on the blue and green marble.

You need to be embedded, parked in the area to know the local turf.

Dangerous work for reporters filing live in 3,2, 1 you're on. Cue the announcer. In hot spots over in the Middle East, other trouble areas. But to get the real story you have to be dodging the bullets, wearing a flak jacket, in the trenches on the front line where it is happening. Listing, selling, reporting the real estate market is like that to. The local Red hen, David is the guy or gal running circles around the slow moving, slow to react Goliath in real estate, anything.

In a small town, the real estate market ups and down, supply inventory is measured locally where it happens.

And if that is not how it is done, someone else from outside the local market tries to relay what is going on. With missing bits and pieces. Not all the nuances mixed in or considered. The local professional real estate market who lives in the market knows up to the minute all about the shake and bake. maine fall country view photo

Reacts, reports about the what is happening today. How swimming conditions are around him in the small local pond.

Which way the wind blows.

So where do you get your real estate market news, live and local?

Where the properties live, population the streets of the neighborhoods or country side?

Or is it canned, spun, stale and far far away out of touch?

To make the most important, expensive decisions involving real estate listing, selling. It must be fresh, full, accurate? Always available when you need it.

Dorie ... Ask the guy or gal that lives in the area, hangs his hat, votes there, is part of the community and is part of the movers and shakers. To know what is going on. Is part of the history, today, the future. Otherwise it is getting your information from a gypsy. Who has never lived here but pieced together like Frankenstein this and that. Playing the snake oil, smoke and glass carny games. Actual, current, fresh, helpful and available round the clock. That is a precious information stream and only the local that lives there real estate professional need apply for the job. Is the best character to play that part, important role.
