We often regale our friends with images of unusual vegetables and new finds, (next post). Today we wanted to share some of the other aspects that make us smile every Saturday with you. The balloon man's creation are a delight every Saturday, and kids of all ages appreciate watching him create. He does not have prices, just what you feel like paying, and everyone is generous, which gives you a glimpse into what this town is about. We have over 1500 charities in Santa Barbara.
Then we have the lavender purveyor. Our assistant and cat sitter, Kim is also a massage therapist. She buys her lavender oil from these people. Like everything sold at the Santa Barbara Farmers Market, these lavender varieties are organically raised. Their lavender smells heavenly and transports you to a calmer place.
The olives are wonderful at the Fusano olive stand. They are cured with different spices, such as chilies for those love spicy, lemon, or just plain. Their flavors are great as is their olive oil.
Our cup of appreciation to all these wonderful people runneth over every Saturday.
