Sometimes during the week an idea pops in my mind early and I think I'm good... some weeks Liz and Bill Spear writes about that idea in my head and I grumble swear words and go back to the white board and think some more. Sometimes I pop over on the Ask an Ambassador group and look for questions... and find one to write an answer about. None of that happened this week.
First of all it was an incredibly busy and frustrating week. We had crazy, like full moon crazy, but since it's not a full moon I guess was just Halloween crazy. None the less I am supposed to share some great information with you on Friday about ActiveRain. Even at 2 a.m. I had nothing. Then BAM out of the blue I found Dagny Eason 's post. Can you ask that here in the Rain? Of course the answer was yes and I was inspired.
ActiveRain is not only a place we can learn abour real estate and share and get great information it's a place where we make friends and think of each other as family and can get all sorts of great information. For example... are you headed to the NAR convention in New Orleans next week? If you are and you didn't read Lisa Heindel's post about her beautiful city they you have just really missed out.
Not only do I know Lisa loves her city... and knows the best places to stay and eat, let me tell you about an email exchange between us that she may not even remember because it was years ago... but my daughter was visiting New Orleans over Christmas break and it was one of the if not the FIRST time she was flying and she was nervous. She was going to be away from home without me and I was nervous. Lisa knew and accepted the responsiblity for being "emergency mom" if anything had gone wrong. Abigail had Lisa's number in her phone and I just knew if there was an emergency Lisa would be there for Abigail until I could get there.
When Abigail went to New York, it was Sheldon Neal and Liz Wallace that became emergency mom. And when she went to Indy it was Cindy Marchant. They shared "stuff to do" "things to see" and phone numbers. I had peace of mind. Abigail had a great time.
I've gone the same when I traveled. I've asked "what's to see and do" from some of my favorite peeps in ActiveRain. When we visited the kids in Broken Arrow we had a great bed and breakfast recommended to us. Thom Abbott , Debe Maxwell and Danielle Sharp have helped make visits to their cities exceptional.
So when you are headed out on an adventure/vacation if you don't first check with the local expert on ActiveRain you just might be missing out. It's more than just real estate. It's wonderful people who know and love our towns/cities/lakes. If you are coming to visit, give us a call or send us an email.
