Now that the 2014 year is coming to a close, many folks will start sending out Holiday cards and other marketing materials. Question why now? And why do you not have a system to consistently send out cards of thanks, appreciation, birthday, anniversary, congrats etc....
Over the years, I have learned that being consistent is a skill and characteristic of the top 20%. When I hear agents tell me that they want to get started with my system www.myandomactsofcardness.com I ask them why now? The easy answer is I have the money now and it is the right thing to do....I say the Leader sends cards and gifts 365 days a year and even when the money is tight......
The lesson here is that the average agent practices average tasks. When I speak to large groups, I tell them: what is easy to do is also easy not to do. Average agents continue to practice things that do not get great results and they wonder why they don't improve. When you practice AVERAGE you become better at being AVERAGE!
We have grown our firm from 5 offices in 2008 to 16 offices ... We have gone from 49 agents to 264 agents and adding agents every month because we do not practice average things.
My system of sending out Birthday cards and brownies is well known here in New England. We, however, are not average. We send cards and brownies to the spouses. We are not average. We send cards and brownies to children of our agents. We are not average. What happens? Retention sets in high. Agents refer other agents to our firm. Facebook is flooded with pictures of surprise and tasty treats. And our culture of giving is shared and our agents now do the same for their clients...what a WOW. Everybody Wins.
Remember the cost of sending the card and gift is not expensive; the cost of not sending the card and gift is truly expensive.
If you would like help with this or to hear more great examples of what we are doing, I am happy to share...
Have a great day today and continue to raise the bar of expectations here in our industry.
