This is Why You Do Localism Posts!

If you're new to ActiveRain, or a lifer and need a boost, kick in the pants, a "get moving" inspiration . . . I hope this post rejuvenates you into doing LOCALISM posts.

Here's what happened today:

I have a tracker on my site and from time-to-time I'll check it to see what activity I'm having.

This is the screen cap to show you what I saw:

The VISITOR PATH shows me what the on-line consumer is looking at.  More importantly, at least for me, I can see what site brought them.

This consumer did a search on BING "how much are u cut trees portland ..."

And my LOCALISM post, apparently, popped up:  Where to Find U-Cut Christmas Trees in Portland

The consumer clicked on it, and landed on my LOCALISM post.

And then . . . look what happened, I can see they clicked on 3229 SW Dickinson St., which is a new listing and is found on the side bar:

Then they clicked on Portland Homes for Sale . . . and started searching other properties on my site.

Will it make the phone ring?  Let's hope so

Getting exposure is always welcome.  I do a few localism posts.  In the end it's about being seen and being perceived as the expert.  Would you please do a follow up to let us know how the activity translated into calls and business.  Thank you.

Residential real estate is local and localism posts are very relevant to the people that live there or want to move there.  Think about what locals might be interested in and write about it.  The localism topics to write about is virtually unlimited.
