Monday Monday, can't trust that day.

Miserable, Moody Monday - Today is the Most Depressing Day of the Year … and it’s not just because of the weather, it’s a fact! Today is the day when we should be feeling our most miserable, according to British researchers.

Today has been labeled Divorce Monday, and the most popular day of the year to start divorce proceedings. Happy Divorce Monday – ugh! On Blue Monday there will be almost five times the usual number of guilty tweets about giving up on resolutions and complaints about the weather will be six times higher. Since Christmas has passed, bills need to be paid, the weather is cold and the sun is scarce.

It’s a “Blue Monday” for me because I love the Christmas Holiday and loath the thought of taking the Christmas decorations down, but started yesterday, and our place just doesn’t look “homey.” Traditionally the decorations stay up until the day after Epiphany (January 6^th), but I’m busy with out of town buyers. The weather here is damp, cold, and the skies are gloomy, just enough to make you miserable.

Whether or not today is the worst day of the year, the winter blues are certainly upon us. So what can you do about it. Depressing as it may seem, it shouldn't actually be! I am alive and living... What's not to be happy about, cherish life as you never know when it may end, and welcome each day with open arms. –

Anytime you are dancing on the green side of the grass, it's a GREAT day!

You know I did start my divorce proceedings on the Monday after the Holidays years ago because I was wavering and found one more lie and I said that is it! I was feeling blue yesterday and was not sure why a little better today. Maybe it is the let down after the Holidays!

No Roy Kelley and Kristin Hamilton I wasn't depressed, but had difficulty with my eyes, conjunctivitis in one eye for about 10 days, then the other eye. I'm still not 100% and have to wear sunglasses, even at home. Thank goodness my husband was able to take care of some of my business. This is what you get for having the little grandchildren around, now to worry about the measles!

I'm nearly three weeks behind on my business plan, but healing does take time, and I won't push it.

Hi Bette Gottwald,

I got pink eye in late Novemeber but tried to treat it myself with no luck so finally had to go to the doctors and had to have 2 different prescriptions. I threw out all my liquid tears and eye makeup so I wouldn't infect the other eye. Flushing with warm water over the tub helped a lot to reduce the swelling. Unbelievable that it took over 5 days after I started using the meds that I was again presentable without swollen eyelids!

*Speaking about Measles, someone infected a whole lot of people at Disneyland in California a couple of weeks ago and it is spreading like crazy. get the vaccine if you haven't had them.
