Throwback Thursday: My son and grandsons out of their element!

Matt and boys in snow

This picture of my son and grandsons was taken on Christmas day in 2010 in Williamsburg, Virginia.  They were standing in front on the dock behind my house.  According to the media, this snowfall was 18 inches.  It was a treat for these three since they live in south Florida.

William, I made sure the boys had plenty of warm clothes, I borrowed coats for them from friends and bought them the other things they needed.  They wore lots of layers.  My son had warm clothes from when he lived farther north.

Why Sybil it seems you have passed down some genes.  Good looking son and grandkids. Yes I would say the snow would be a bit out of the norm coming from Florida.  Great Pic.  Mark

Mark, thank you for the nice comment.  Yes they were out of their element but that Christmas will always be memorable for me and them.

Snowfall at 18 inches is not an ordinary thing. They are lucky they have a beautiful and loving mother/grandmom who made sure they are warm.

Ah, the Snowpocalypse of 2010. When the first flakes fell in DC, we were on the runway at Reagan National, waiting to fly out to Quebec - we were one of the last flights to make it out before they closed the runway.   What a snow that was!

Your boys are adorable and I bet they had a blast in that unexpected (for them) white stuff.

Susan,  What I liked about that snow was that it melted very quickly a few days later and we weren't stuck with the nasty salt and dirt for weeks.
