2014 was the merger 35 years in the making, NOW WHAT's NEXT?

Back on February 14th, 2014, I let the world know my intentions were to propose to my beautiful partner Christine Faye Goolsby at Family Reunion in Pheonix AZ and many of you thought this wasn't a good idea in such a public forum. So we kept the moment private and just let the world know the results.

Here was the proposal: 2014 could be A MERGER 35 years in the making: Read on to see the incredible journey

Then on Novemeber 22, 2014, the merger was complete and here is the result:

Now I am already looking ahead to Valentines Day 2015 and 1 year since my proposal.

And I am actually thinking, what possibly can I do to top last Valentines Day???

We have had an amazing year and now I just need to come up with a first anniversary to top last year.

So let's hear it married folks... How about some of you married guys give me some creative ideas on just how I can raise the bar on myself from last year?  

Let's see some ideas below in the comments.  Inquiring minds want to know.

One of my favorite special day celebrations (I am pretty sure it was a Valentines Day weekend) was when my husband took me to Gatlinburg and had made arrangements for us to stay in the Love Nest. It was a neat little chalet on the mountanside with a hot tub outside, a huge whirlpool tub inside and a heart shaped bed. He had groceries bought so we didn't have to venture into town if we didn't want to. It was very romantic and memorable.

Don't even try to top it...we have been happily married for over 37 years and the best part of being married is making new memories and traditions together. Enjoy the evening together with a nice dinner and as Roger D. Mucci said, send flowers. Or, if she is a jewelry person,  buy her a nice piece of jewelry or all of the above.

If that is too cliche for you, either follow Debbie's advice or just ask your wife what SHE would like and how SHE would love to spend Valentine's Day. Her ideas may be quite different than yours.

There is no better gift that you can give than your time, love and affection.

Hope that helps you a little... and as for all the other comments, trust me the gold, silver and or diamonds makes them all so much nicer...   I love Roger but what's with the less is more????
