Random Thoughts on Super Bowl Sunday
I haven't done this in a while, putting all those random thoughts and things that happened over the last week or so into one post.
Let me just start to say that in our house, Super Bowl is a non-issue. Hubby is a rare breed as he is not a big sports fan unless it's Nascar and even then, it has limits. So, I can watch Downton Abbey tonight and there won't be any complaints.
Last week ended with three accepted contracts, none of which I saw coming just a week or so ago. January seemed to start out a little slow for me but it definitely has caught up at the end.
Last year, we bought a pig at the 4H auction during the annual County fair. I've been cooking myself through a freezer full of pork since then.
Today we had Boston Butt and it came out quite yummy. Did you know Boston Butt isn't "butt" at all? It's actually a piece of the shoulder.
Winter is far from over for the northern states. Some of the photos I saw on FB and in some of the blogs here, look cold and frosty with lots of snow and ice.
You wouldn't know if if you lived here. We had a cold spell last week but it warmed up for the weekend. The snowbirds who are renting next door are pretty happy. We took advantage of the nice weather yesterday and today to do some yard work and only stopped because our three trash cans were filled to the rim with yard waste.
Enjoy your Sunday evening!
