So might you want to move to Sylvania? If you are like me, with all the snow we have been having in Sylvania Ohio, you may be thinking about nicer weather and Spring. Along with nicer weather that accompanies Spring a lot of people start thinking about the affordability of moving to a new home. When I moved from Toledo, my thoughts were based on the elementary school I wanted my 2 children to attend. Maybe your thoughts are based on the same criteria.
So.....................here is the affordibity of homes currently available in the 7 elementary schools that make up the Sylvania School District.
Cetral Trail. There are 19 homes available from $149,900 to $749, 500. The average being $333,153.
Hillview. There are 32 homes available from $74,900 to $579,000. The average being $168,313.
Stranahan. There are 20 homes available from $44,000 to $369,900. The average being $131,185.
Whiteford. There are 36 homes available from $89,900 to $1,099,000. The average is $301,883.
Highland. There are 42 homes available from $179,900 to $1,100,000. The average is $292,863.
Maplewood. There are 29 homes available from $ 85,000 to $595,000. The average is $169,900.
Sylvan. There are 9 homes available from $79,900 to $425,000. The average is $160,622.

As you can see the inventory of available homes is low. Only 187 homes. I am expecting the inventory to increase with the warmer months, but with the decrease of bank owned properties and rents costing more money, I also see sellers increasing the amount of money they will want for their home.
