Are Real Estate Agents Celebrities? - Real Estate on Sunday

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Castles Unlimited®

With the recent trend of Real Estate TV shows, Bobby Lehmkuhl and Jim talk about how Real Estate agents are starting to become celebrities.

Bobby is a top Real Estate broker in the Malibu area.

Bobby appeared on an episode of Million Dollar Listing. If you've been watching our show for a while, you know that both Jim and Diana love the show-- both to watch and discuss.

Bobby was on an episode where a house featured on the show was one of his own listings. When Bobby worked for Coldwell Banker, he shared an office with Madison Hildebrand, an agent who was a key character on Million Dollar Listing for a while. The two stayed friends even after they left Coldwell Banker, and Hildebrand would ask 4 Malibu to come on the show with listings. Bobby says that he values the networking that he can do with his connections to Madison.

Bobby and Jim discuss that Real Estate agents in the Malibu/Los Angeles area are becoming celebrities, after Jim read an article from The Hollywood Reporter. Bobby says that though he and his partners service celebrities, he himself does not feel like or wish to be a celebrity himself.

I have seen a few of these people and talked with some that have used simalar people.  Most of them had little interest in the client and the sale was the only thing on the mind.

William...if the sale was the only thing on their mind it doesn't matter as long as the buyer got a deal deal or the seller got a good deal...am I wrong?  I believe that you can JUST be focused on the deal and STILL be working for the best interests of the client.  These thoughts are not mutually exclusive.  Thanks for watching.  Jim
