foreclosures in Loudoun,Fairfax & Prince WilliamHomes that have been through foreclosure are always a topic of conversation among home buyers and investors.

When folks want information about buying foreclosures, bank owned homes (REO's) are generally what they are talking about.

The number of Bank Owned homes  (property that has already been foreclosed on and now offered to the public through real estate agents) has remained gentlly falling for the past year in the  Northern Virginia metro area,  and sits at a much LOWER level than in past years.

Fortunately for mortgage stressed home owners,  real estate prices have risen in the past 5 years so that many can sell their homes normally rather than face foreclosure or short sale.

Although RIS Media reports the lowest Quarterly Foreclosure activity in 8 years, you can stilll find property in Norhtern Virginia that has been through the process

For example, in March 2009, 181 bank owned homes sold in Prince William county in that month. As of today April 16,2015, there are a total of 34 bank owned homes for sale in Prince William county...a monumental change.
