The market in Gilbert, Arizona for homes under $200,000 is unbelievably competitive. Houses in the price range within striking distance for first time home buyers are snapped up as quickly as they come up for sale. It can be a struggle to get your buyer in to the home for a showing before the homeowners already have a handful of offers in hand. It takes an agent that keeps their thumb on the pulse every single morning and makes themselves available even at inconvenient times of day just in case that right home shows up on the MLS. I am happy to be that agent who will fight for my buyers to get them the house they want, in the area they want it, and at a price they can manage.
I closed on a home today with my client Jesse who most people wouldn't take a second look at when it comes to thinking he can afford to be a homeowner. He is a youth pastor in training and is just over 20 years old. He would be the exact candidate that you read about in the news about the Millennial generation and how unmotivated and lazy they are. Well not this guy. His parents raised him up right. He started saving for his own home in his late teens and his dreams became a reality today.
Along the way we were outbid a few times on homes that were at the top of his price range and didn't allow him much negotiating room but we kept pounding the pavement every day until the perfect home came up in his most coveted neighborhood. I set a viewing appointment within hours of the home hitting the market and we had his offer over to the homeowner before anyone else even had a chance! I was so happy to hand him the keys this morning!
