You might be from Lake Sinclair if...

You don't want to tell anyone you are from the city of Milledgeville because they say "Oh I'm sorry" because they think you're from the Luny ben
You have no idea where someone is talking about when they say "Lakeside Bait and Tackle" because you call it "Big Ed's"
You know why locals call their ATM cards "Tar Baby Cards"
You've had dinner at the Governor's mansion
You know the capital building is on GMC's campus
You know what a strip lease is
You know you can buy a leasehold lot and get a mortgage
You know you get the best real estate service at Lane Realty

Lake Sinclair is a wonderful community to call home. And we'd be thrilled to help you understand all the wonderful things you can find and will love about our community. Things move a little slower around here than in the city. You might find a cow in the road occasionally. The fishing is great. You will get to know your neighbors and you'll find them friendly and helpful. We have three local colleges and a mini mall. It's only about an hour and half from Atlanta if you drive, but it's worlds away from city life.

I just have a sense that Lake Sinclair is relaxing, and moves along at a lower gear. Let me tell you, that is a GOOD thing.

My expectations are that people in Lake Sinclair live an additional 10 years beyond the rest of us.
