There is a lot of truth to the saying, “No one succeeds alone and no one fails alone.” Success in our lives and businesses is one of those elusive butterflies that many of us chase after. We all have different definitions of success as well. It all depends upon our goals and visions. I have come to believe that success, no matter how we define it, does not have to be elusive.
I have been a long-time believer in coaching. For the past 11 weeks, I have been engaged in MAPS business coaching from Keller Williams. One of the things I have been learning is sometimes, the problem with one’s business not the business; it is you or in this case me. Somewhere in my travels, I came across “Build a better business by building a better you”.
As I sojourn across this plane of existence, there are times when I am the teacher especially as I teach others in my organization how to be better at what they do. That is what business owners do. For the most part, I am the student. I seek out those who will support me and my goals and show the door to those who don’t. This may sound harsh. The business world is not always “Touchy-Feely”.
Every day I live, I spend as the student, constantly seeking knowledge. Knowledge that will take me down the path of mastery. Mastery, in the 7 most important areas of my life. These are Physical and Spiritual lives, Health, Key relationships, Job, Business and Finances. As a student, I seek those who will hep me find the environment that will support these areas.
Am I the sensei or the grasshopper? I am both. I teach those who have ears to hear and want to lean. I learn from those much wiser than I because I have ears to hear and want to learn.
I am so glad that you have found the MAPS coaching - you must have a wonderful KW market center that is sharing so much with you. Have a wonderful week.

Good morning Michael. I'm sure you are an asset to those that you teach as much as you are thankful for those that you learn from.

Good morning again Michael. So much data so little time. BTW I do learn something almost every day I log into the Rain and read posts such as this one.
For those that are willing, much can be learned Michael. Enjoy this day!

Everyday is a chance to teach, and learn. If you are not learning then it time to hang up the spurs ;) Teaching often is the greatest way to learn.
Michael
Your right on point . . . . coaching can play a big part in the level of a persons success.
Good luck and success.

Michael we better be both or we are missing the boat. We especially need to be willing to learn from others.
Good observation Michael, we do play both roles, cant be a very good sensei without continually learning.
