Katy ISD | School is Out | Thursday June 4, 2015

 

The last day of school for the 2014-2015 school year for Katy ISD is today June 4, 2015. Early dismissal is at 12:40 PM for Elementary school and at 11:35 AM for both Junior and Senior High School. I should not have to tell parents with school age children but one never knows.

 

The primary reason I am posting this information is for the drivers in the numerous neighborhoods/subdivisions which makeup City of Katy plus the huge unincorporated areas which are zoned to for Katy ISD schools. I see on a daily basis individuals recklessly driving through these neighborhoods at high rates of speed. Children will be out playing along with pets such as dogs. Slow down and stop playing with your smartphone as a child or dog or both could be seriously injured due to your reckless behavior.

Gosh, seeing those words, "School is out" reminded me of how exciting that was when I was a kid.  I wasn't other kids who got bored and wanted to go back after a couple weeks.

Thank you all for your comments. i saw another idiot driver moving at least 50 miles per hour down the way in and way out street while I was walking the dog yesterday. this guy was late teen or millennial age with huge pickup which was jacked up to boot!
