Tracking Your Car Mileage

As a self employee ( Independent Contractor) your mileage can be written off. The IRS requires that you record the business purpose of each trip and retain a copy for your records. If you under estimate your mileage you could be over paying the government.

Here are three Apps which may help with your mileage documentation:

Mylog

These seem like they can help cut the log books and reminding of the nature of the business trip.

Always check with your CPA for government changes and allowances.
