Maybe The BEST Obituary I've Read.
I just had to share this obit from today's paper. I think maybe I might have wanted to meet this character and for sure I think I'd like to meet the writer of the obit and have them start on mine for when the time comes.
That's pretty cool. He sounds like a guy with a tough exterior and a heart of gold. Lucky him to have someone write a great obituary that's probably just what he would have wanted.

This is a great obituary, Bob! Thanks for sharing! I want my celebration of life to be fun, and include some of the things I like. My family has instructions to play Beatles music, and serve Diet Coke and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I also want the song, "Because He Lives" played, because that is one of my favorite Christian songs.

Sounds fun Rose King and just as you said, I want it to be a celebration of my life not my death (although there may be some who will celebrate my passing as well). Now you have me wondering about my music. In my teens it was Alice Cooper but I can't see my guests singing either I'm eighteen, or I'm Dead and I like it.

Grant Schneider , I read them every day, not only to see if I'm in there but to see if I need to console a friends family. Very rarely do I see one as cheery as this. It makes you want to celebrate the mans life.
Kudos to the writer of this ... wonder if he would be available for hire... sometime in the future?

What great insight Lisa Von Domek I was thinking spouce but I believe you nailed it.
Yes it is written more like a short story, very graphic giving the character and free spirit of the man.
