Join us this year on August 7-8 at 10 North High St. in Canal Winchester for the Canal Winchester Blues & Rib Fest. Free admission gets you into this amazing music and food Festival. This 2 Day Summer St. celebration offers a live blues music, a variety of delicious foods, children's activities, beer and wine garden and of course, delicious ribs. This is located in the historic downtown Canal Winchester at the intersection of High and Waterloo streets. On and off street parking is available.
This Blues & Rib Festival draws people from all around the state with nearly 32,000 attendees. The event will happen rain or shine on Friday starting at 5:00 PM until 11:00 PM and on Saturday, August 8, from noon until 11:00 PM.
On Friday at the main stage, Skyla Burrell Band will kick off the event followed by Ray Fuller and the Bluesrockers. Finally on the main stage is the Ori Naftaly Band at 9:30 PM.
On the Stradley stage starting at 5:00 PM enjoy the Lews Brothers, followed by Luther & John, Two Trains Running and finalizing with "RIP" Lee Pryor.
On Saturday at the main stage the Mitchell Project will kickoff at 12 o'clock noon. Seven bands will be playing all afternoon long with the Chris Duarte Group closing it out at 9:30 PM. On the Stradley stage, music kicks off with Ben Bachert & Friends and finalizing with Gary Applegate at 9:00 PM until 10:30.
Even if you don't like ribs, there's food for everyone but of course, the barbecue is really what draws people out. The 2015 rib master roaster includes Johnson's barbecue, Cowboys barbecue, Big Pappy's barbecue, Dem 2 brothers and a grill barbecue and off the bone barbecue from Pickerington Ohio.
Each vendor will offer delicious and succulent fall off the bone ribs as well as numerous sides such as coleslaw, potato salad, corn on the cob, baked beans and macaroni and cheese. If you're looking to find some of the best barbecue in the area you won't want to miss this event.
