The little things really do matter! I had a meeting with my realtor today in Seattle and it was a very productive meeting to go over leads and strategize the coming fall season. Our goal is to stay busy and work hard to keep the pipeline full! I want to share some of the little things.
1) I brought him a lead. I've been told since I started in lending that its hard as a lender to give realtors leads. I've attempted to buck the trend and have now been able to give him two leads. While I think they aren't the greatest, they are something I felt great how appreciative he was that I've done this.
2) I brough boxed water. If it warrants the response "This is Dope!" and a smile you did something right! Its not the gift giving that matters but the fact that you bring a small gift that shows you care about your business partner beyond the business relationship. This realtor of mine works out regularly and I got the boxed water that no one else has and some Kindness bars that are healthy.
3) I delivered results. We've worked on leads together for the last month and while its felt slow to start, we are beginning to pick up traction. We identified 15 potential leads to work on together.
4) We agreed on a follow up plan together. When your on the same page, share the similar approach, and create a path together on how to improve, you are setting the stage to be successful!
Today was about the little things setting the stage for bigger things to happen. I couldn't be happier we had the opportunity to meet and begin working together. For that I am thankful.
