Are Your Online Efforts a Success or Failure

Each of us has a different view of the type of business year 2015 has been thus far. There are still 7 weeks left in the year, and potentially a lot of deals still to be made, but by now you should have a good idea if this year has been great, good, average, mediciore, or a complete bust due to your online efforts.

At a minimum most of us blog regularly. On the far end of the spectrum a small percentage do a lot of online things to bring new biz. Somewhere in the middle of those extremes is where I suspect the majority of Rainers are at.

Nothing wrong wherever you land, as long as your efforts are bringing in new prospects that are being converted to clients.

Hopefully everyone who reads this can attest to closing at least 1 deal in 2015 directly attributed to their online efforts. 

What would you say has been the best online thing you have done in 2015 to bring in new clients?

What has not worked at all this year despite your best efforts?

Do not worry about your local competitors stealing your ideas...if they have not reverse engineered your efforts by now they are not going to start. If they do start the chances they will have staying power to continue long-term are very low.

This year brought me an unwanted result of my online marketing.  A cyberbully/harassment problem. Makes me want to stay so far away from the computer, even though the marketing works and gets me buyers and sellers.

Anita Clark - The best thing that I have done on-line this year was to continue to create specific You Tube videos for each of the condo developments that I follow. I'm only about 40% done - it's a very slow process for me to take the video, edit the video, add the voice commentary, add the captions, etc...  I don't just use my phone and load it up, it so much more than that, which is why its been such a value added item.  At some point in the buying/selling process clients do bring up the subject of my videos and that they have watched them, so I know they are having a positive impact on business. They are also a great tool to send to prospective buyers or sellers when they have questions on an area, or development.  It's a really easy way to share information and get your face in front of someone over your competition.  Videos really can provide a level of credibility as to who you are and your level of professionalism.   It's on my list to continue to do for 2016!

Anita given the market we are in here in CT I would say this has been a good year, and my online presents has played a roll in that.  If not for my online presents at best this would have been an average to below average year.

Great question Anita, I've gotten three buyers from blogging, FB business page has brought me two listings in 2015. I started using landing pages about a month ago, I boost them on Facebook, I have a total of 19 seller leads in just a month. We all know these leads take nurturing which I am doing with email campaign as well as text and direct mail.

One new thing I also started doing was to "text" those who register on my website as well as landing pages, people actually respond to text messages.

Anita Clark great questions and I am enjoying reading the responses. We have begun leveraging community and listing videos on our social media. We have seen alot of benefit from website clicks from our Facebook ads. We've also begun creating new landing pages to use in advertising. Just starting with that so hope to see some good results in 2016. Blogging has increased this year and we are seeing results there as well from AR and website blogs. 2015 has been our best year yet. Here's to all the professionals out there like yourself and all those who contribute to an even better 2016.
