It's Easy to Quit -
No one ever said earning what you want in life is easy. We've all heard that before! There are times in life when sometimes things just seem overwhelming and it can seem difficult to pull up your boot straps and trudge onward!
Today a post caught my eye on Facebook on this topic. Scanning this post I almost missed that he has just been published in entrepeneur.com. We've all seen the articles, "Don't quit!" Or "Hang in there!" But not this one, "Three Trying Situations that Make You Quit, And How To Overcome Them" jumped right out at me!
Ordinarily I'd pass up on these articles as we've all heard the same nagging stuff about not quitting. It's a scan and read typically for me. But not this one.
The "Three Trying Situations That Make You Quit, and How to Overcome Them" hit hard with me. I've been in sales positions before and had the dream to be independing and successful. But in other fields I didn't give it the entire push. I didn't contribute as much as I should have and maybe it WAS because I had three little kids, but something else held me back.
That one reason was self imposed! I was told I had "three little kids" a few times so I didn't push forward. But I also had that fear of failure, like most people in sales. I was actually self limiting my own success! It's Easy to Quit but I don't want to!
Back to the article highlighted above. The reason it resonated with me is because I have those same desires to fulfill and especially for my family. I like taking them on vacations. And I love my family. And the best part, the author is my future son-in-law, Ryan Stewman!
Congratulations Ryan! You've come a long way baby!
And the last sentence is about my daughter. Thank you Ryan for telling it like it is and chasing your dream. I know my daughter will be right there with you!
