We are all people that have chosen a career in real estate or it's related services and are often misunderstood for the motivation that drives us. Of course there is always the financial result we receive, but it is based upon completion and if we don't get to finalize the deal our efforts bear no reward.
The business is about helping people and using the knowledge we possess to achieve their results. There are a lot of sacrifices made by many.
For myself, I am thankful for my wife, Cauna, who shares life with me and was in complete agreement with me when I started in this real estate adventure 14 years ago. With a career that is 100% commission based, it would be extremely difficult to operate the business with so many big costs. Knowing that there is a fall back reserve beyond what we may have put aside is a blessing. Also, the understanding for all those late nights, cold dinners and weekends and holidays spent with others and not the family.
I am thankful for the flexibility of time we have by being able to control the schedule of hours and times we work. This does allow us to attend to our personal lives and get the relaxation in needed to recharge our batteries.
I am so appreciative and thankful for the technological advances that allow us to maintain flexibility and literally a mobile office to instantly serve our clients with our smart phones, laptops and a basis for our business that so few undersatnd yet depend on completely. They call it Internet.
I am most appreciative of still having good health and a clear mind.
I am also thankful for the support I get from my office, my brand and the working professionals needed to complete any real estate tranasaction.
This is my entry to the 5 Years of Thankfulness contest sponsored by Happy Grasshopper.
