Earth Day 2008

I didn't realize that today was Earth Day, but when I searched using Google this morning I noticed the usual change in their home page logo as they do on many occassions and holidays.  Their logo puzzled me today, so I had to click on their logo to determine what today's logo represented and behold it was Earth Day.

Responsibility To Do OUR PART

Now, I'm not an environmentalist or green activist by any means as I think they go way too far in attempting to address and solve OUR environmental issues, but I do believe that we each have a responsibility to do our part in keeping our Earth clean and free from polutants for the next generation.

I would like to challenge each and everyone of my fellow RAINERS to do something today to help the Earth, and not just something for just today, but a permanent change in your life for the betterment of our Earth.  Conserving water by changing something that you do everyday.  Recycling cans, glass, etc., going forward.  It doesn't take much, but can make a huge difference if we each TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR PART.

Have a great Earth Day.

Hi Debra,

Have a hot dog for me!  I imagine there is some type of celebration here in San Diego, but I have not seen any yet.

Happy Earth Day to you also.  I think the price of gas will force us to conserve gas which does have it's own benefits!

Hi Dick,

You are so right.  I hope the forecasts for price per gallon are not accurate, but I read one yesterday where they are forecasting $5.00 per gallon by summer.
