Salute to Patricia Kennedy! 3,000,000 Points on ActiveRain!
Of all the blogs that I could have chosen to reblog, it was this one by Fred Griffin. Even though I keep hearing that points mean nothing and that members never look at where they stand, these points are exceptional. Patricia Kennedy , is a trailblazer like Lewis and Clark or like Capt. Kirk going where nobody has gone before. Congratulations to Pat for reaching the 3,000,000 mark.
Congratulations and fireworks to Patricia Kennedy, the first ActiveRain Blogger to pass the 3,000,000 point mark on the ActiveRain Leaderboard. Pat's dedication to the members, readers, and guests of ActiveRain is reflected in reaching this incredible points milestone.
Washington, DC Real Estate Agent Patricia Kennedy is an amazing lady with a great biography. Read about Pat in her own words, from her website:
"For over three decades, I have worked as a full-time Realtor in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. While most of the homes that I sell are in the District of Columbia, many of my clients buy or sell in Northern Virginia and Montgomery County in Maryland.
Washington is a perfect place for a Realtor to work. The homes I sell are interesting, and a few have had one president or another sleep over. And my clients are also interesting and fun. After so many years, I've become a little bit psychic, listening very carefully to what my buyers and sellers tell me, and coming up with something that really works for them.
There is nothing more fun than having a client give a list of homes they've found on the Internet and want to see. I arrange to get them in, then I'll tack something extra on the end, and guess what? That's usually what they buy!
Before getting my real estate license, I worked as a consumer advocate, first with Ralph Nader's Aviation Consumer Action Project, and then at the old Civil Aeronautics Board. At the CAB, I supervised the staff that developed the federal ground rules that governed airlines' responsibilities toward passengers when they were bumped from an overbooked flight, had their luggage lost or delayed, or encountered other unpleasant air travel woes. And many of these rules are still in effect today.
I attended the Peabody Conservatory of Music and graduated from Hunter College in New York with a double major in Political Science and Flute. I studied flute with Britten Johnson, Julius Baker and Jean-Pierre Rampal and played professionally with several area chamber groups, including the Washington Bach Consort.
Home is This Old House in downtown DC, which I've been renovating for years. My housemate is a crazy Labradoodle named Willie. And I serve as the Secretary of the Crestwood Citizens' Association."
