A gorgeous Miami Beach condo was the week’s biggest sale, closing at $3.71 million on a $3.799 million asking price. The sale shows the continuing popularity of Murano Grande at the Portofino complex on the southern tip of Miami Beach. Murano Grande offers striking views of the city skyline, Biscayne Bay and the islands.
Murano Grande is one of my favorite Miami Beach condos. It’s elegant, the location is incredible and it has some really great diversity of offerings, all within a single building. Prices range from low million to upwards of $7 million, and everything in between. This week’s sale was one of those in-between condos, a 3,000+ square-foot condo (3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths) with solid interior and great sunset views across the bay.
Murano Grande is part of the Portofino complex, which shares real estate with the Murano at Portofino. Together they’re probably the most distinctive properties in South Beach — simply because of their size. Murano Grande is a 38-story condo with 270 total units. And the prices aren’t bad either, with average price per square foot sitting $1,275.
And that diversity I was talking about? That’s on account of the 16 completely different, huge floor plans. So there’s really something for every kind of buyer: from local residents looking for a new homestead to foreign investors interested in a new vacation home in paradise. But some things are standard, like the Sub-Zero and Miele appliances and the tall, floor-to-ceiling impact windows, and private or semi-private elevator lobbies.
