I agree, Joanna, you have captured something quite extraordinary. He was so unaware thta it made for a perfect moment, with so many story possibilities.
One of your absolute best!
Good evening Michael Jacobs and Raymond E. Camp and Beth Atalay and Hannah Williams - there is no question that there are a million stories in the naked city. The juxtaposition of the pose, face and the goldfish is really what tells this one!

Good morning Joanna. I've heard of taking home some fresh fish for dinner, but this is really fresh. I thought he may have had more than one. I wonder if he baked or fried it..

Good morning Joanna. Was he aware you were taking the photo? Looks like he was taking his new purchase to a new home.
Good morning Joanna Cohlan,
OMG!! What a perfect shot (as always). A million stories to be told in the naked city:). Interesting expression on his face..so tired..so beat down or just chilling after a grueling day.

Good morning Joanna Cohlan . He looks exhausted, makes you wonder what his day was like. He looks bored, like he needs some excitement in his life Thank you for sharing, it's a great shot. Take care
I love all the takes on this one. It would have been fun to try to strike up a conversation and get this "Fish Story," told. Love your Wednesday photos, Joanna. And you.
Joanna, I love this photo! It brings back memories of all of the characters who ride the subways in New York. This is a good one.

Good evening Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD and Patricia Kennedy - I have to say that I am so happy to make you smile. Love you both!
Hey there KRISTIE DESAUTELS - the goldfish may be the best that he can do for excitement!!!
You are so right Dorie Dillard about a million stories in the naked city-this one made me laugh for sure! And yes, I think he was aware Joe Petrowsky but it was a while ago!
Good morning Joanna Cohlan Maybe he should consider getting a dog, LOL, he would be able to interact with it alot more than with the fish It's a great picture, thank you again for sharing it. Take care
At first I though I saw a stripe like a skunk. Now wouldn't that be something? Then a clsoer look I see the fish but the face on that man goes more with a skunk. :)

That's a great candid shot of a person riding the NY subway! I love it! It should be painted on canvas and placed somewhere everyone could enjoy! Maybe even on top of NY Times Square and the only movement to the crowds below is the fish swimming in his baggie!
Good afternoon KRISTIE DESAUTELS no doubt you are right but perhaps a fish is just enough for him to manage!!
Maybe you are right Debbie Reynolds - he does look like he smells something fishy!!!
Thank you so much Patricia Feager - this was taken during the winter and honestly, I think it is one of my best shots!
Good morning, Joanna... if that isn't a quintessential New York City subway scene, I truly don't know what is!
You got it Nina Hollander - I thought it was perfect!
