Should You Really Use a Buyer's Agent?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Are you looking to purchase a new home soon?  If so, are you currently working with an agent? If not, read this short post to understand the reasons why using a buyer’s agent is a no-brainer.

1. It's a Free Service to You

This reason alone, is probably all you need, right? Think about it, if you can get free expert service in any industry, wouldn’t it make sense to take full advantage of that service?

2. It Will Save You Time

Who doesn’t want to save time? I mean, seriously, saving time is almost as important as saving money! A buyer’s agent will be familiar with the current listing inventories and will filter them to find properties that fit your criteria.  Also, they will already be aware of red flags that you may not know about or have considered.

3. It Gives You Complete Access to the MLS

A buyer’s agent will have full access to the MLS database and will have more complete information on listings. This information isn’t easily accessible to you, the buyer.

4. It Means They’ll Take Care of All The Paperwork

When you see that stack of prepared documents ready for you to sign, you’ll be thankful this task has been taken care of for you. Imagine if you had to find all these forms and prepare them!  Having a professional take care of this also ensures that everything is legal and correct.

5. It Means You have a Connection in the Business

Relationships are valuable. This is certainly the case in the real estate industry. You never know when you may need the service of a realtor. Already having a realtor that you know and trust is comforting.

There are many other reasons, but I think these are enough to help you realize the value of using a well-qualified buyer’s agent.

Buyers not having an agent on their side are just asking for something to go wrong during the transaction and they'll have no one to turn to in order to help them.
