The Loop has had an exciting week. Vista tower, one of the newest condo developments and soon to be Chicago's third tallest building broke ground! Last month we talked about how the new construction in this neighborhood is good for the housing inventory levels. For the most part they are still under 6 months, which would be considered a balanced market. Market times are climbing a bit and as summer draws to an end we might see that continue and inventory could climb a bit too. It would be great for buyers and sellers alike for the market to be balanced. See the chart below for an explanation of the three different kinds of markets. The median sales price for all of the condos in the Loop was $377,500.
