“USDA a Wonderful Mortgage Program”
This program is a NO Brainer, if the area allows USDA loans. It is so important however to speak to someone that understands the program as it has many quirks, such as income limits. These income limits include everyone under the roof, rather than only who is on the mortgage application.
The funding fee is lower than FHA or VA and the monthly mortgage insurance is less than half of FHA, so lots of positive reasons to consider this mortgage program.
Hi Joe-
Thanks again for chatting with me regarding USDA loans. The blog that you wrote on the topic was most informative, but I’m sure I will have many more questions. You mentioned that I could send you a couple numbers and get a ball park estimate of what my payment would be in Maine. If I was to purchase a home for $190K with taxes at $2500- wrapping in as much as possible to the loan. What would payment be and how much would I have to bring to the table? So hard to believe that this program requires no down payment.
Thanks
Tom
