Sedona Wordless Wednesday (kinda) - Blue Skies-Red Rocks-White Stuff

Hi Alexandria, Because it is a pretty dry climate, the temps don't feel that cold. I used to bundle up when coming from SoCal but now I guess we are used to it!

Hi Anna, the snow usually does not stick on the red rocks but it was cold enough to get some layers. 

Hi Beth, Oh ...I know!  We actually used to go to Maui this time of year, and others would give us a screwy look. Most people think all of Arizona is hot like Phoenix. We are in a different climate zone.

Hi Myrl Jeffcoat - These photos were taken at dawn - (for us, a little after 8 am!). It is that "magic" time. The bottom of the cloud was getting a bounce of the sun and hitting the tip of the mountain. I had to rush and take this with an iPhone!

HI Michael Jacobs - Cold is relative.  I remember going to Maui and a "cold" front would come in.  We are talking 60º and the locals were bundled in ski jackets.  Californians had a sweater on and the folks from the midwest were in shorts and a t-shirt! ...and usually sunburned!!

Hi Endre Barath, Jr. - I spent most of my life in CA so I was very concerned moving to Northern AZ. BUT, the dry weather goes right back to snow as well.  It does not feel that cold. Initially, we would bundle up like we were on a ski lift! Now we mostly wear sweaters and light jackets.
