St George Jazz Festival
The St George Jazz Festival is coming this Friday so make it a date! An early Valentine’s date, a Friday night out, and the sweet, smooth sounds of jazz. The Rebel Jazz band, along with a local high school jazz band will be performing with special guest artist Eric Marienthal. The jazz age came about as early as the 1910’s and has stayed not only popular but ever evolving through generations to maintain its relevance. Jazz music is known to be soulful, slow, and soothing to listen to. It can bring about emotions, relaxation, and just feels overall good for the soul. Live jazz will surely lift your spirits and put your mind at ease.
Eric Marienthal and the Rebel Jazz Band
The Rebel Jazz band is a local jazz band, who call St George home. They play year-round in Washington County at events like the St George Art Festival, the City Valentine Dance, and Streetfest, just to name a few. Eric Marienthal is a renowned jazz artist who has played in dozens of countries, recorded solo CD’s, and has additionally played on hundreds of records. He is voted a favorite saxophone player and helps raise money for charity. Come out and see what makes these jazz players so exhilarating to watch!
