This is a very tough one for me because when I think of the major brands, I am not certain that I can actually trust them. Sure, I purchase their products and use them, but it is more so because I feel there is nothing better, rather than feeling like I can trust them, if that makes sense. I come from a small town, so I am more supportive of small Mom & Pop type of businesses because I like supporting good people, rather than big corporations. My feeling is that when companies grow to become really big, they stop caring about their customers and start caring more about their bottom line profits.
One brand that I love, mainly because it is where I got my education from, is the University of Arizona! I really enjoyed my time there and feel that I received a quality education. I trust that it is a University that is always striving to become better and cares about it's students and donors. I am a big fan of anything associated with the University of Arizona, especially the athletic teams! When watching pro sports, I am more of a fan of players that attended the University of Arizona, rather than the teams they play on. Go Cats!!!
Another brand that I enjoy is Verizon Wireless. I have had my cell phone service with them for over 15 years. I have not always been happy with them, but in the end, they always seem to make things right, which I truly appreciate. I have always felt that they have the best coverage area, since my cell phone often works in areas where others with different companies does not. The knock on Verizon always is that they are more expensive, but I am the type of person that is fine with paying a little bit more for a service, if I feel that it means I will always have service, rather than it not always working. Verizon Wireless will continue to have my business!
My first official vehicle was a Toyota Corolla, which I purchased when I was in college. It always ran well and I rarely had to put much money into it for repairs. In fact, it is still on the road to this day, as I have passed it down to my younger brothers. When I started earning real money, I made the switch to a BMW and I loved driving this car. In fact, I have owned 3 BMW's, but the most recent one fell out of the warranty period without me being able to upgrade to a new one. When it overheated and cost me over $1,000 to have repaired, it got me thinking that it was too expensive of a car for me to have, haha. So, of course my mind led me to think about how reliable my Toyota was previously and I went to the Toyota dealership and traded in my BMW for a Toyota Camry! I love the feeling of how reliable my Camry seems and I appreciate that if something goes wrong with it, my bank account won't have to be diminished as much, haha. I still miss driving the BMW, but it is certainly more practical for me to drive the Toyota Camry!
