Zion Canyon Earth Day Celebration!
The 13th Annual Zion Canyon Earth Day celebration is right around the corner and it is an event to get excited about! This is a festival full of education about earth, energy, local information, issues with the environment, native plants, and sustainable products. In addition to all of the cool learning taking place, there will be food vendors, art vendors, and interactive demonstrations. Free to the public, Zion Canyon Earth Day will also offer a silent auction, beer garden, and local music.
Bring the whole family. This is an event for everyone. The music will be live, on a stage powered by solar energy, and local bands playing folk, rhythms, and rock and roll. The goal of an earth day event is to educate the public about recycling, alternative energy resources, and how important sustainability is. Perfectly located in Springdale, which is an EPA Green Power Community.
New and exciting things have been added this year: a March for Science and a Rhythm and Drum workshop. The march will take place around the Canyon Community Center in support of the science community. Festival goers are encouraged to bring their drums and join in a drum circle during the march. The Rhythm and Drum workshop dates are from April 19-21 from 6 to 8pm, taught by Nacho Arimony.
