Our Children’s Museums
From the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples to Imaginarium Science Center, Southwest Florida has several museums dedicated to getting children excited about learning. At them, you’ll find interactive exhibits and much, much more.
Our Fossil Hunting
Along areas like the Peace River, you’ll find that you can go on fossil hunting expeditions that are sure to delight any kid. Now, you may have to keep up yourself, but imagine their enthusiasm when they find a fossil!
Our Aquariums and Marine Rehabilitation Centers
In Southwest Florida, we have places like the Mote Marine Lab and the Parker Manatee Aquarium. These spots are places where injured sea creatures can find a home. They’re also a place where your kids or grandkids can see giant sea turtles, playful dolphins, and sleepy, friendly manatee.
Our Botanical Gardens
One of our best kept secrets is our botanical gardens. My personal favorite is the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, but there’s also the Sarasota Jungle Gardens and many, many more. At them, your young ones will dive into the world of lush landscapes that have defined our lovely paradise.
Our Historic Homes
This one might not have the same level of intensity that some of our other choices have, but for many children it’s still an excellent choice. For example, the Edison and Ford Winter Estate is a wonderland for young inventors with an inquisitive mind. You can even see Edison’s very own lab set up as it was during his time!
Our Award-Winning Beaches
When all else fails, the beaches are always a surefire way to impress the kids. Miles of sugar sand combine with salty surf and sunsets like you only see in movies. The kids can build a sandcastle or two, while you sit back and take it easy, because when you buy a home in Southwest Florida, you’re in the middle of a delightful place filled with sunshine and seashores.
