Yesterday evening in remembrance of my birthday, my daughter, Jill, and grandkid Macie, treated me to a very special experience. The three of us had seats for dinner and a magic show at Mystique Dining on historic Sutter Street, in Old Town Folsom.
I had not been here before, and when we first walked through the door, we immediately stepped into a mysterious era of a past realm. Visions of Harry Houdini and characters of his age began to prance in my head.
Mystique Dining certainly didn’t fail to deliver on providing an amazing meal. We had Prime Rib, the finest I’ve tasted in many years. Our dining experience also featured, Magician Eric Evans, a well-known Busker, known for his art of illusion. Mystique Dining only provides seats for 18 at each of these experiences. I was fortunate enough to have the seat immediately left at the head of the table in the dining chamber, within 3 or 4 feet of observing Eric’s amazing mastery of magic and enchanting illusion.
The following links are to Mystique Dining, which has photos of the dining chamber. There’s also, a link to one of Eric Evan’s videos. Check out the magic Eric does with the red ball. I’ve never seen anything like it. And, it was especially impressive from my vantage point a couple feet away.
