Last night, we had some wild weather in Colorado. It wasn't just isolated to the Denver Metro Area. It seems everyone was affected by the sever thunderstorms that blew in.
This morning, I received text photos from my sister in law who lives in Central City, Colorado (an old mining town turn gambling town).
She bought her home almost a year ago and has enjoyed the mountain lifestyle.
Last nights storms had her a bit spooked though.
Here is a shot of the side of her house (which is about 140 years old).
There is a rock retaining wall separating the side of her home from her neighbors' yard. The heavy rains caused many of the rocks to come tumbling down and they landed right against the side of her home.
Here are a few pictures from down in the city (about 1.5 miles away).
This is Main Street in Blackhawk sent to me from a friend who works up there.
This is another photo my friend sent of Clear Creek which runs parallel to Hwy 119 in Blackhawk.
You can see that the storms really piled up the rain there last night. Hopefully the weather will be a bit tamer tonight.
