If you have looked at my blog this week, you would have seen some silly and wacky blogs from me about a neighbors' kissing Dutch kid statues.

Sadly, the adventures of the traveling Dutch kids has come to a close today.
The "Kids" made their debut at the entry of our neighborhood yesterday. Watermelon Lady lives at that corner and has enjoyed watching the faces of our neighbors as they pull into the neighborhood.
The original owner of the "Kids" said it was time for them to move on to greener pastures. So Watermelon Lady and I planned to haul them to a couple of trash cans this afternoon.
In the meantime, I got a call from another neighbor who was out walking her dogs and about had a heart attack when she came upon the pair. She started to tell me about her discovery and I couldn't help but start laughing and laughing. She said "I am guessing you know something about this". I told her about the adventures of the Dutch Kids and she thought I was nuts!
It is with heavy heart that I say goodbye to the Dutch Kids.
They were good for many laughs and hours of entertainment.
They will be gone but never forgotten.
