Fairfield County and the Greater New York City area has some of the most expensive real estate in the country. However, homes in the Greater Danbury area and Candlewood Lake area are fairly reasonably priced. Danbury technically has a Fairfield County address, but we do things differently around here. We don't have an inventory of almost all higher end single family homes or only high end shopping or services, we offer real estate options for all budgets & a wide variety of service options. Some of the towns in lower Fairfield County & nearby Westchester & Putnman County,NY may not even offer equivalent real estate options that the Greater Danbury offers.

Both Stamford & Norwalk,CT were chosen as they are more large cities such as Danbury. I would be happy to provide similar housing data for comparison purposes in the other towns throughout Connecticut. I also will be glad to prepare some direct property to property comparisons.
If you are willing to commute a little bit more and would like to be a little bit further from New York City, you can certainly see that your dollar goes considerably further in Danbury. Due to the known affordability, we can getting a lot of residents that can not longer stay in those other areas. In addition , I have been told on several occasions from clients from Long Island or Northern NJ that mentioned property values & rent being at least 10-15% higer for comparable quality homes. Property taxes are also close to half of what most towns are charging in Westchester County,NY.
