With no economic reports coming out today to influence traders, the better than expected outcome of Irma's attack on Florida kept stocks moving in a positive direction. In addition, pundits felt that the Fed is unlikely to raise rates this year. President Trump is likely to have an opportunity to appoint four new voting Fed board members in the near future virtually allowing him to control Fed policy for years to come. The Dow gained 61 points on the day.
