Greek Fest 2017 at St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church in Greenlawn, NY.

The Greeks have a word- kefi.  It's a word that's impossible to translate, but you'll definitely experience some great kefi at the St. Paraskevi Greek Fest 2017.  There will be lots of Greek music and dancing, fabulous food, Greek pastries, loukoumades, a huge flea market, rides and games for the kids, and much more.  Be sure to go into the church to see the beautiful hand-painted iconography, especially on the dome.  I promise, by the time you leave, you'll be full of kefi--and that's a good thing!

Hi there Barbara Todaro .  And I love Armenian food.  Many years ago there used to be an Armenian restaurant in downtown New York called the Izmir.  My two favorite meals there...stuffed mussels with rice, currents and pignoli nuts and ajem pilaf--that wonderful lamb and rice dish.  (I've learned to make both dishes from my grandmother).   Paklava or Baklava?  Armenian or Greek?  Who cares?  It's all delicious!
