Parkas and Flops - Love It

Well - my son once had a girlfriend who wore shorts with her parka when the ground was covered with snow. She swore her legs didn't get cold - I swore she just wanted everyone to see them!

LOL - I love Belinda's post and candid nature. But when it comes to Real Estate, it's no laughing matter. Belinda Spillman IS the real deal. When you hire Belinda she provides more value than most agents in the area. I wouldn't even think of hiring anyone else. 

That is funny Belinda!  Somehow I don't think you're the only one that would order both at the same time!  I'm kind of glad I don't need that parker thou....just saying!

When we lended in Denver Tuesday morning the ramp entry to the airport was so cold...then on to Raleigh where the weather was like stepping into a sauna.  On Thursday, when we left Denver heading home, it was definitely flip-flop weather and I was wearing mine as we boarded from the tarmac.  A

Here in WV, I would use the parka, but not the flip flops next month.

It's smart to keep flip flops on hand!  I wear flip flops through the winter months, doesn't everyone?

Spent most of last week in your area and can attest to the fact that you've got some moody weather. Hot, then a Snow Day and then warm again, I did pack Uggs and Flip Flops. This isn't our first rodeo with Denver. ;) 

Hi Belinda -- when I lived in Washington, DC -- I remember opening my front door for a package.  I'm sure the delivery guy was wonderfing about the guy(me) wearing shorts with the fireplace going while there was snow on the ground.   Oh, well.  

We showed a home over the weekend that the owners were moving because they bought a house in Denver. They said there may be some snow, but the average temps was 68 degrees...???

Same here....weather can vary by a lot from hour to hour.

I dress in multiple layers if I'm leaving for more than a few hours. I had 4 layers on top and long johns under my jeans the other morning when we left the house. By the time we got home several hours later I was down to a tank top and jeans.

Hi Belinda Spillman - We get our weather forecasts from Phoenix so they are not very accurate at all especially during monsoon!

As for parkas and flops - I have seen that when it gets cold in Maui. For natives, 65º is cold and the parkas come out but the flops are always on!

I think you are now well prepared for all the Colorado weather extremes.

People have much the same opinion of Chicagoland weather, Belinda Spillman ... if you don't like it, just wait a minute.  It will change.  Good to see that you're prepared no matter what weather the day brings ...

My flip flops are a must all winter long. I wear them around the house and am ceratinly ready to take them outside in the early spring.

Hi Belinda... never did totally get Colorado weather. I was at my granddaughter's high school graduation on Memorial Day weekend and it was snowing! Say what?

That looks like standard issue snowbird apparel here . . . while the locals are running around in pants and socks, our seasonals have shorts and flips and parkas . . . hahahahah! 

I am always amazed by the people around here who wear flip flops in cold weather - you would not be alone
