Back before 1967, when the original developer of Fishhawk Lake was interested in creating a man-made lake community, Mr. Brown approached Mr. Watson and asked if he could put a lake on/near some property that Mr. Watson owned. Mr. Brown promised to move this very cabin if Mr. W would let him proceed with his dream. This cabin was Mr. Watson's and it was reported to have been moved twice during the development phase.
It sits in a grand location, with part of its generous boundary actually IN the lake. I always point out this little darling to my buyers, because the story is dear and sweet and so is the cabin.
Mr. W. is long gone, and this cabin was bought online from a gal living in California (so the story goes) and she now lives here full time lakefront on Fishhawk Lake. It is no longer all red, but has been updated, to a mostly brown color. I still crave that cabiny red color, though!
I took this on a cold February day in 2015, while walking my dogs over at the community lodge area, across from this cabin. The cocoon of smoke makes it feel as if warmth is just a step through one of those small cabin doors!
