Will This Matter a Year From Now

“Ask yourself this question. Will this matter a

year from now.”

Dr. Richard Carlson 1961 – 2006 American Author,

Psychotherapist and Motivational Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Will this matter a year from now

You will be called on every day to make decisions . . . . some with far more importance in your life than others.

Keep your decisions in prospective by their order of importance in making them. Focus your decisions on your priorities . . . . and the decisions that will have the biggest impact on your business and career.

When you make a decision . . . . ask yourself “will this matter a year from now” When the answer is no . . . . it’s a low priority decision. The next question is why are you spending your time on this.

Make your high priority decision as quickly as you can. On your low priority decisions determine what you have to . . . . do it . . . . and move on.

By asking “will this matter a year from now.” You will take control of your decision making process.

I think about decisions I made 40 years ago that mattered so everyone should extend the timeline beyond one year in my opinion.

Hi Lou- so many decisions come upon us every day...some small, and some pretty large but asking yourself this question could help in the decision making.

Good evening Lou Ludwig ,

We are bombarded with decisions every day. We often need to put things in perspective! A good way is to ask ourselves if it will matter a year from now. We might get the answer to our question!

This is a good way to keep life in perspective. In many situations, we won't even REMEMBER it a year from now!

That's a great way to put it, Lou. We get all over-excited about things and forget to ask just how important they will be down the line.
